The treatment of cardiac arrest patients consists of chest compressions, ventilation and defibrillation, but the majority of cardiac arrest patients are not eligible to be treated with defibrillation, and do not survive their cardiac arrest.
The NEURESCUE device directly addresses this unmet need. During on-going chest compressions, a blood vessel in the leg, the femoral artery, is accessed with a sheath. The NEURESCUE device is inserted through this sheath and the device faciliates a safe balloon inflation. This step increases the chance of immediate resuscitation by increasing the blood flow to the heart and helps to protect the brain by increasing the blood flow to the brain.
No estimation or second-guessing. Our automated inflation and deflation ensures a secure and soft occlusion based on objective criteria from beginning to end of the procedure.
Our proprietary pressure-limited filling protects against over-inflation, rupture and unintended pressure from the balloon.
With a portable package and a minimal number of user steps to a successful balloon occlusion, the NEURESCUE device is designed for the cardiac arrest setting.
